The Safer Drivers Course has been developed to assist young drivers to transition from being a supervised Learner driver to being a safer unsupervised driver when they get their P’s.
Module 1 : A 3-hour facilitated group discussion on how to manage risks on the road
Module 2 : A 2-hour in-car practical coaching session to develop low risk driving strategies.
This involves two participants and a coach.
WHERE APPLICABLE MODULE 1 & 2 ARE CONDUCTED ON THE SAME DAY.
Important : A condition of course participation in the Safer Drivers Course is you must have completed at least 50 actual driving hours in your logbook – not including any 3 for 1 bonus hours with a Licenced Driving Instructor. If unsure please contact your Driving Instructor to clarify your log book hours for course participation, or contact National Driver Education on 9853 3243.
Note: Module 2 is generally conducted in an Automatic vehicle
Once the course has been completed the participants will receive 20 hours log book credit.
